Day 1

Nairobi-Maru National Park

The journey takes approximately 6–7 hours by road, with arrival in Meru National Park in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp. After settling in, head out for a late afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and possibly lions or cheetahs in the savannah. As the sun sets, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxed evening surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Day 2

Full Day Game Drive at Meru National Park

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in this vast, rarely crowded park known for its lush vegetation, rivers, and diverse wildlife. The park hosts more than 400 bird species, rhinos in a fenced sanctuary, and animals like kudus, oryx, hippos, crocodiles, leopards, and bush babies. You’ll have picnic lunch in the wild or return to your lodge depending on your preferences and lodge location. The day may include a visit to Elsa’s Grave, a memorial to the lioness made famous in the film Born Free. The rich landscape offers excellent photography opportunities, making this one of the most scenic wildlife experiences in Kenya.

Day 3

Meru National Park

After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a short morning game drive for a final glimpse of Meru’s wildlife. Afterwards, return to the lodge to check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi. You will arrive in the late afternoon, ending your memorable safari to this off-the-beaten-track destination.
