2 Days Safari from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you’ll enjoy a tranquil boat ride on the freshwater lake, where you can spot hippos, African fish eagles, kingfishers, and other water birds in their natural habitat.

After the boat ride, you’ll head to Crescent Island, a peaceful sanctuary where you can take a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, and other herbivores—without any predators around. It’s a great opportunity for up-close wildlife photography and a quiet, immersive nature experience. In the afternoon, you’ll check in at a lodge or camp near the lake, where you can enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park, one of Kenya’s few parks where visitors can explore on foot or by bicycle. You’ll hire a bike at the park gate and cycle through dramatic volcanic scenery, towering cliffs, and open plains, possibly spotting zebras, buffalos, giraffes, and warthogs along the way. You may also take an optional guided walk through Hell’s Gate Gorge, known for its geothermal activity and striking rock formations. After the adventure, lunch at the lodge or en route then you’ll begin your return drive to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
