Mombasa/Diani – Tsavo East National Park
Depart early morning from your hotel or airport in Mombasa or Diani. Drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway, entering Tsavo East through the Bachuma. Begin your first game drive en route to your lodge or camp for check-in and lunch.In the afternoon, head out for another game drive across the vast plains, searching for red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and possibly the elusive leopard. Explore landmarks like the Aruba Dam or Mudanda Rock, a natural water catchment area that attracts wildlife.Return to the lodge after safari for dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp inside or near Tsavo East.
Tsavo East – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (Salt Lick Lodge)
After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you exit Tsavo East and proceed to the nearby Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive in time for check-in at the famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge, built on stilts overlooking waterholes frequented by elephants and other animals.Enjoy lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive in the sanctuary, where you might see antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and a variety of birds. Optionally, you can take part in a night game drive (at extra cost) to observe nocturnal wildlife. Return to the lodge after safari for dinner and overnight at Taita Saltlick lodge
Taita Hills – Mombasa/Diani
Enjoy a sunrise game drive before breakfast – a perfect time to catch predators still active from the night. After breakfast, relax or take another optional game drive. Later, check out and begin your journey back to Mombasa or Diani, arriving in the afternoon with lunch en route.
